When I try to edit css files using Joomla's Template Manager I get 406 errors. If I try to edit them using eXtplorer, it seems to work, but no alterations are saved.

It seems to be a mod_security issue, but yesterday I worked on this same site without problems.

Hello Cbahiana,

The 406 error is probably a result of a Security error with the Mod Security. You can temporarily turn it off in the cpanel until you finish your changes, then re-enable it. Check out this article for more information on using Mod_sec and it will also give you the information on how to turn it off.

Use your Mod_sec to protect your site

You can also refer to this article:

Disable Mod Security
