I installed Joomla today and am wondering how I go about logging in. I have a website that I haven't transferred over yet and want to work on before transferring the domain. With my other site that is original to here, I can access it by www.(webaddress).com/adminstrator

I can't go about the same way since the domain hasn't been transferred over. I'm just looking to work on it and look at it through the dummy IP.

Hello joshharveyscout,

Thank you for your question. The easiest way would be just to uninstall joomla using softaculous, then reinstall Joomla using Softaculous, and for the Choose Domain option, select the one with the IP address, for example:
70.45.173.156/~userna99

That is also the address you will access the Joomla site on, for example the site will load here:
70.45.173.156/~userna99

The Admin login page will be here:
70.45.173.156/~userna99/administrator

If this is not your main site (primary domain) then enter something in the In Directory field. For example, if it is for an Addon domain, you will want to enter the directory for that addon.

Then, when you are ready to go live with your site, you can
change the Joomla URL in the configuration.php file to the actual website URL.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

-John-Paul
