I am a new customer having some challenges finding my around your website.

My old website provider offered a site builder that worked on windows. I don't remember seeing anything on your website to indicate your site builder didn't accept Windows, but now that we're signed up for an account it appears it only accepts Linux. Is this true? If so, what are my options if I am working with Windows 7?

Hello ado_admin,

The website builder builds your site on its own server and then publishes it to our servers, which are Linux based. Your particular computer operating system will not have any effect. The builder works over the web, whether you are on a Windows, Linux, or Mac machine.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you.

Best Regards,
Scott M

Hello Ado_admin,

All of the programs offered to help you build a website will run within Windows. The programs that are running on the server are running in Linux, but the client versions (the programs that will run on your system) are made to run through your internet browser, so in essence, it doesn't matter which platform you are running as long as you are using a compatible internet browser. The Plesk Premium Web Builder is only one of the many options that are available for building websites, but most certainly will run on Internet Explorer in Windows - or Firefox, and other internet browsers (it will also run on a Linux system and an Apple with compatible internet browsers).

Here's a link on getting started with the Builder:

How to use the Builder

If you prefer to use the other options login to your Cpanel and look for either Fantastico de luxe or Softaculous (Softaculous is the newest version of the software installer being given to our customer - this option is being installed on all of our servers today). Note: Softaculous will phase out Fantastico de Luxe as our application installer of choice. This process is in transition and should be complete within a few days.
