Close store on vacation

How do I show my store closed when I'm on vacation so customers can not order. I want them to know were closed during a specific period of time. I'm using open cart as well. I can I do this?

Hello,

Thank you for your question about closing an OpenCart store when you are on vacation. You can possibly update your maintenance message, then enable Maintenenance mode.

Alternately, there are 3rd party plugins available such as Close Shop, or Close Store/Checkout.
