I have loaded the premium web site builder. I tried to load an image for the banner and got to show banner loaded. I was told on chat that I need to preview but when I choose this nothing happens.
The last chat failed just after starting but I was often a link which has proved as useless as all the rest. I was drawn to use Hub by the suggestion `we will have you up and running minutes’... or whatever the blub. Yes, I got started in that I have a domain name and loaded Premium but there is no step by step advice to get the very first items loaded.

Hello Harryopal,

Sorry to hear about your frustrations with getting started with the Builder. The main thing to remember about using the Builder is that it does NOT immediately create a website on the hosting server. It creates the website on the application server for Premium Web Builder. What does this mean? It means, that you will not have a website visible on your hosting server UNTIL you get to the publishing step.

So, if you are on the DESIGN phase (step 2, going by the numbers), you're still setting the theme that you're going to use for the website. You won't be able to see anything on the site unless you use the PREVIEW button. If you use the PREVIEW button, the website generates a POPUP window. If your web browser is blocking all popups, then you will not see anything. So, you will need to make sure that your browser allows popups for the Builder website (builder.webhostinghub.com).

Step 2 also allows you to upload a different banner or logo. You need to follow the documentation (Customizing a Builder site) which lists the size limitations and how add these elements.

Step 3 (Pages) allows you to determine the structure of the site. Basically, you're just creating the list of pages that will make up your website. These pages will be listed under the column labeled "Your Site Structure". You can add or remove page types here. To get a better description of each page type, click on HELP button (top right) and go to CREATING SITE STRUCTURE. You 'll see a complete list of the page types there.

Step 4 is called EDIT, but it actually is the area where you get to decide what elements (text and media) will be going on each of the web pages that you listed in STEP 3. It uses a WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) editor so, you don't need to know code.

When you finally have everything the way you want it (or even before that phase), you can click on PREVIEW in the bottom right corner to see the site, or PUBLISH in the top right corner. Just remember that when you publish the website, it is then available when you type the website domain name on the internet.

I hope this quick summary gets you going in the right direction. Otherwise, you might want to call into support instead of chat - that might be more beneficial if you're having trouble with the chat system. The technical support team is available 24 hours a day /7 days a week.

If you have any further questions or require further assistance, please let us know.

Kindest regards,
Arnel C.
