I have 3 domain names all pointing to inmotionhosting name servers. One is default and 2 parked and I want to set up one of the parked ones for my second shop using prestashop multistore.I created a second store in prestashop in the same default group and given it URL from first parked domain but when i go there it still gets redirected to default one. Do i need some other settings, redirections in cpanel or what?

Hello ,

Thank you for your question regarding prestashop. You would need to make the parked domains as addon domains instead. Parked domains only share the primary website.

http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/community-support/prestashop-15/configuring-prestashop-multistores-with-a-seperate-domain
here they say it should not be addon but a parked domain.
i have tried it but now i don't get anything just Index of.

Hello Stnx12,

You were correct I apologize as it does need to be a parked domain. Did you follow the steps in the lower parts of the question as the user eventually got it working.

Ok so the reason was that i did not create the store in a new group. Once i created a new group and created a new store there all it's fine. What i don't understand is why this does not work if they are in the same group since prestashop allows for more then one store in one group and it ask you to assign a URL to each shop. Anybody knows explanation?

Another thing. This issue is only with default group. When i create two shops in a custom group then assigning different domain names works like a charm.

Hello stnx12,

We actually do not know as of yet. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We will do a bit of testing to see if it is like that by design or a possible bug.

Kindest Regards,
