Hi,
I see that your hosting doesn't allow me to make my own database name because it adds a prefix with each database name.

One of my client has sites running and looking for changing hosting. I was wondering whether I should suggest webhostinghub because the client doesn't want to change her database names. Is there a way that my client will keep her database names and transfer her hosting to webhostinghub? please let me know.

Hello Nurul,

Although you can name your database anything you want, it is mandatory that it has a prefix of the cPanel username in front of it. It makes each database name unique so that another user cannot have the same database name as you. This is fairly standard across shared hosting providers due to how shared servers are set up.

Best Regards,
Scott M
