I currently have domain name registration (BlogSpot.com) and masking (Domains by Proxy) - account paid through next August.

If I open a hosting account with WSH, how do I effect redirecting traffic to new site? [Note-have had Apple me.com which is no longer operative]

Also, as WSH offers free domain registration, how do I transfer that control and masking from BlogSpot and Domains by Proxy to WSH?

Hi LoneStarM,

Great question about how to transfer your domain name. BlogSpot.com uses a registrar (eNom or GoDaddy) to actually register your domain name. If you want to build an entirely new site hosted here, we suggest first pointing the domain to our Namservers before initiating the domain transfer. When you registered your domain, you should have received a confirmation from the registrar which would contain information on how to log into their particular domain administration panel. We also have articles on pointing your Nameservers at GoDaddy or at Enom.

Once you have pointed your Nameservers, you can then initiate the domain transfer through AMP (Account Management Panel) here. At the time you initiate the domain transfer, you can also purchase Domain Privacy (similar service as provided by Domains by Proxy).

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
