I'm using the standard php mail command to send email. I don't get an error but the mail never arrives.

Any ideas?

Using this format:

mail('me@example.com', 'My Subject', $message);

Hello mdmogren,

Based on your domain information, this is what I'm seeing when I "dig" for your mail server information:

; <<>> DiG 9.2.4 <<>> mx myconnectedcommunity.com
;; global options: printcmd
;; Got answer:
;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 21371
;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 1, AUTHORITY: 2, ADDITIONAL: 3

;; QUESTION SECTION:
;myconnectedcommunity.com. IN MX

;; ANSWER SECTION:
myconnectedcommunity.com. 30 IN MX 0 direct-connect.myconnectedcommunity.com.

;; AUTHORITY SECTION:
myconnectedcommunity.com. 172800 IN NS pat.ns.cloudflare.com.
myconnectedcommunity.com. 172800 IN NS dan.ns.cloudflare.com.

;; ADDITIONAL SECTION:
direct-connect.myconnectedcommunity.com. 30 IN A 205.134.224.148
dan.ns.cloudflare.com. 56177 IN A 173.245.59.108
pat.ns.cloudflare.com. 703 IN A 173.245.58.139

Basically, the most important part of all that, is that your MX server - the mail server - is not pointed our hosting servers here. If you want us to handle mail for you domain name, it would need to be routed to us. You will need to speak with your current domain registrar, and then make the appropriate changes to your DNS.

In layman's terms, control of how your mail gets processed is based on who has responsibility for the domain name. In this case, your domain name is being handled by someone OTHER than Web Hosting Hub. Therefore, when email is sent, and address on your email request needs to be resolved, the servers showing responsibility for your domain name are with Cloudflare. At this time Cloudflare does not show that email is resolving to our servers. Note that we (at Web Hosting Hub) do not necessarily need to receive your email traffic - that's up to you, but in order to help troubleshoot the issue of mail appearing in your mailbox, then the mail would need to go to our servers. You may need to consult with your current registrar and discuss where or how mail is being processed.
