Using SSL on checkout only page

I have an ecommerce site and currently use the paypal checkout page. I want to change it to advanced paypal so people do not leave my site to check out so I need an SSL. I see that other online stores have the https on only their checkout page and not the whole site. How do I do the same? I have not yet purchased the SSL but I plan to from WHH.

Unfortunately, there is not a way to enable SSL for only the checkout page in Prestashop using any built-in functionality, but you could have a developer custom code this into your site if you want to.

My recommendation would be to simply enable it on the whole site which will be much quicker and easier.
