create new website while current website active

We currently have a website on your server, but we would like to design a new site. Can we design the site while keeping the current website active and then transfer over when we are ready? We are thinking of using wordpress for the new website.

You may indeed. You would simply create the new site in another directory, then move the content to the main location when complete. To install WordPress to another directory, simply enter your desired directory name into the In Directory field when installing via Softaculous.
