I am trying to verify my site with google.
I found this on your support site
"Google will provide a .html file for you to upload onto your account. Place the .html file into the host directory for your domain. If you're verifying your primary domain, the host directory is public_html. Once the file is uploaded, request Google to check for the file to confirm ownership.

Where do I find the host dirctory for my domain?
Thank you,
Danita

Thank you for your question Danita!

The html file just needs to be uploaded to your public_html for your main domain or the folder you installed your website in. Please see the following link on this.

What Directory should I Upload my Files to?

You will need to access the cpanel file manager to so this. If you have not accessed the cpanel, please see the following links on how.

How to Log into cPanel

Using the File Manager in cPanel

Once uploaded, you should be able to verify your site right away. If you have any trouble, you can contact support to upload the file for you by chat or phone.

Best Regards
