My website (montagnardimports.com) has a page "News and Events." This page has two categories: "Things to try" and "News and Events." Yesterday I created a message and assigned it to the category "Things to try." It appears there --- but also appears on the main "News and Events" page which I do not want. How can I get it to appear only under the intended category.

I thought that perhaps this might have happened because the page and one of the categories both have the same name. But I experimented with changing the page name and that did not make any difference.

Thank you.

Hi WVU Mountaineer,

Great question about working with a blog in the Premium Website Builder. The default behavior of a blog is to show posts in both the category you assign them to and the main page of the blog. Unfortunately the blog in the builder doesn't have a way to filter out certain posts from the main page.

If you need this functionality for your site, I would recommend using WordPress. While the default behavior of WordPress is also to place all posts on the blog page, there are ways to filter out certain categories of posts, and I believe there are even plugins that make this a bit easier. If you wanted to start using WordPress, I would be happy to do some research to help you with filtering your posts.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
