Our primary domain is currently divecarriacou.com. We've got several websites, such as deeferdiving.com and caribbeanreefbuddy.org, which are located in folders under the public_html folder. We've recently started using divecarriacou.com for a website in its own right (previously it was just forwarding to deeferdiving.com), and it now appears that people can view any of our websites by typing in divecarriacou.com/ followed by the folder name, eg. divecarriacou.com/caribbeanreefbuddy.org. Is there any way to avoid this? Do I need to change the primary domain to a domain that is not used for a website? Thanks for your help!

Hello,

Sorry for the problem with your addon domains being accessed from the primary domain. This is a result of the files for the addon domains being located under your primary domain folder. The easiest way to get around this is to move the folders of your add-on domains to the HOME/username folder in your account (username would be the username from your account, e.g. userg5). You would have to change the locations of the folders of your addon domains in the Addon domains interface in cPanel. Once you have the folders moved and the location changed in cPanel, then those websites will not be accessible the way they are now. Basically, you are changing the root folder for each of your addon domains. Hope that helps!

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Arnel C.
