error 500 internal service error

I keep receiving the "error 500: internal service error" when trying to access my website. I have no idea why or how to go about solving this problem. Your assistance is much appreciated.

Hello,

The most common issue when receiving this error type is the .htaccess file. You can rename this file (something like .htaccess.old) within your cPanel File Manager so that the site does not try and run it. Check that and see if it helps your site.
