I saw the announcement about an East Coast connectivity problem this afternoon. I'm in Oregon and was unable to retrieve email or load my website from 3:05 pm Pacific time to around 4:30 pm PST. Not the same time frame.

There was a hacking attempt on my site Saturday, which my WordPress plugin intercepted. What was the problem today? Do I need to take any action or set up more security?

Hello BeyondtheOutline,

Yesterday, there was also an unrelated connectivity issue to the West Coast Datacenter in the timeframe you were having the issue. Although it is resolved, we do sincerely apologize for the incident.
It was that incident that was the cause for you not being able to get to the site or email, so no worries on the Wordpress front. We do, however, always encourage more security if you are inclined to add it to the site.
