Our web site, hblondon.org, has been experiencing severe problems for a week now, and we would like to request your immediate assistance.

1. When someone is simply viewing hblondon.org, page 4 of the guestbook entries will not display and shows the following error messages:
-----
Guestbook

Warning: XSLTProcessor::transformToXml() expects parameter 1 to be object, null given in /home/hblond5/public_html/include/SB/Modules/GUI/Xml/domxml_compat.php on line 486
Warning: XSLTProcessor::transformToDoc() expects parameter 1 to be object, null given in /home/hblond5/public_html/include/SB/Modules/GUI/Xml/domxml_compat.php on line 489
Fatal error: Call to a member function saveHTML() on a non-object in /home/hblond5/public_html/include/SB/Modules/GUI/Xml/domxml_compat.php on line 507

When attempting to access the guestbook area maintenance in the site builder, we are receiving the following error message:

-----
Internal Sitebuilder error.
File: /usr/local/sitebuilder/include/Base/GUI.php; Line: 101
Message: PHP Warning : DOMDocument::loadXML() [function.DOMDocument-loadXML]: Char 0xDB64 out of allowed range in Entity, line: 4; Code: 2

2. The guestbook on our site has been targeted by numerous trouble-makers who have been posting bogus entries for many, many months. (There are currently hundreds out there because we have been unable to access the page in site builder to delete them.) This has become a major time-consuming problem as we have been forced to regularly clean up and delete these entries. We are having the same problem with them posting bogus comments to our blog entries. Do you have any suggestions on how we might reduce or eliminate this problem?

3. We do not want those signing our guestbook to use the web URL field. Is there a way to remove this from the guestbook entry form?

Thank you for your quick reply and assistance.

Hello Dan,

I'm sorry you're having trouble with the Guestbook page in the Premium Website Builder. If you have a back up of your site from prior to the issues we could restore the live site for you. However, this would not restore the page within the builder. I would recommend either creating a new Guestbook in the builder or maybe even looking into using a separate guestbook script that you could integrate with the builder.

Another customer with similar Spam issues in their guestbook started using a guestbook script named GBook. They were quite happy with that script and found it easier to manage Spam. If you decide to use GBook, you can integrate that script through the script module in the Premium Website Builder.

To recreate the Guestbook entries you can retrieve those pages and their content using Google's cache and copy and paste the entries you want to keep.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
