Good evening,

I am trying to create a website based on wordpress with a small community involved but I face a problem with user registration. For some reason people with hotmail address do not receive e-mail activation. Looked up in google and found that problem might be connected with blacklists and hosting provider can help with that. Here http://mxtoolbox.com/ it says I am bloked with BACKSCATTERER and WPBL but it is strange because website is not even released to anyone.

Thank you and looking forward for help.

Hello jumbocrew,

I'm sorry you're having trouble with users no receiving their sign up emails. This is most likely due to the emails going to their Spam/Junk folders. We checked into the issues you reported from mxtoolbox.com and the two lists that showed a block are minor lists that are most likely not used by hotmail to block emails. What I did notice while checking into this for you and doing test sign ups is that the hotmail server has Queued mail for delivery.

If your emails are being blocked by hotmail, then a bounceback message should have been sent back. Since WordPress is sengding the user sign up emails out as your cPanel user, you will want to log into webmail, but in this case sign in as the cPanel user (usually not recommended). If you see any bounce backs in that account, please forward it to support@webhostinghub.com so that we can look into that further.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
