I am moving my current website, say domainA.com to domainB.com. I put domainB.com as my primary site on webhostinghub. Right now, both domainA and domainB are the exact same site. The front page of domainA redirects to domainB but pages and posts don't. So I have the exact same posts and pages like domainA.com/page and domainB.com/page are the same.
Obviously, I want everything from domainA to redirect to domainB but that is where I am stuck. I've tried editing the htaccess file with numerous codes. I've done the redirect option in my cpanel. Both domainA and domainB are sharing the same files and I think that's where I may have messed up (in the public_html). Can someone help me out? If they shouldn't be sharing the same files, how do I go about fixing that? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for your question on WordPress sites. If you are simply renaming the site from domainA to domainB, then you will need to change the URL. This should help correct any path issues.

Then you can park the old domain to point to the new one.

After that, you will need to go into the database and change any references of the old site to the new site.

Kindest Regards,
Scott M
