Wordpress Site missing content
I moved over my wordpress site from godaddy's servers, imported the sql data, updated the wp-config file and pointed the nameservers to webhostinghub. The website loads fine, however all my pictures, testimonials and other content is gone or not showing up. I can see the missing images in File manager www/wp-content/uploads/2011 folder. How can I fix this?

Hello magnum11, I'm sorry you're having trouble moving WordPress. Content of your WordPress Posts and/or Pages is contained in your WordPress database, not in the WordPress files you view through File Manager. I took a look at your current site and compared it to Google's cache of your site, and quite a bit of the content is different. I do not see anything in your site's current code linking to those images in your wp-content/uploads/2011 folder. Did you have more than one database at your previous host? If so, it's possible that the wrong database was exported and then imported here. I would recommend exporting the database at your previous host again and re-importing it here. Be sure to drop the tables when you import so that the data is properly replaced. Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Regards, Christi N. |
