I already to created my website in joomla. I installed joomla in my hosting. I finished my website but: How I put it online?

Hello Rafysound,

Sorry for the problems with publishing your website. Before you publish a Joomla website, you have to consider a few things,


  • Did you develop the Joomla website on the same server? If not, then you need to know where your website files are located and you need go through the process of migrating the database.

  • If you developed the website on a different server, then you will need to make sure that the configuration settings are set correctly for your imported site. Basically, if the database is on our server, then your server setting should be set to localhost, but you'll need to get the correct database and user name from the MySQL interface in your cpanel after importing the database.

  • Your files should go into the PUBLIC_HTML folder where you installed Joomla. Use FTP to move the files if they're coming from a different location.
