I need help, I think I did everything right but it's not working. I have a main domain (example.com) and an addon domain (addon.com) set up that I have already registered at the AMP with webhostinghub.

Do I have to make any more changes to dns in the AMP, etc?

addon.com is not redirecting anywhere and I have wordpress installed through c-panel at the domain. I can however see an unstyled html version of wordpress at example.com/addon.com

Help?

Hello Cporter,

Sorry to hear you're having problems with the add-on domain. Typically, if you are not seeing the Wordpress formatting, it's because the DNS has yet to take effect. DNS propagation may require up to 24 hours before it is complete, though it's usually only a few hours.

This doesn't mean that you can't access your WordPress site - there are two ways to make it work immediately:

1) Modify your HOSTs file on your computer so that it looks at Web Hosting Hub server (or whatever hosting you're using). If you're using a Mac, then go here. Basically, what this solution does is forces only your computer to view that particular URL at the IP address that you specify. You would need to remove the rule once the DNS propagation has passed.

2) Setup WordPress using the temp URL. Click on the link and you'll see the steps required to do this. I would only recommend this if you're in a hurry to get it done. If you can wait for the propagation to complete, then it will save you the trouble of having to go back and making changes so that the website uses the actual domain name that you want to use.

I hope this helps to clarify the matter for you! Please let us know if you need any further assistance. Please provide us more information on the actual website URL if you need us to trouble it further.

Regards,
Arnel C.
