I set the security on a page as password protect and assigned a password. I tested the page and was corrected required to enter the pw. However after putting some text on the page and updating it again the password is not working. In Quick Edit the page is listed as having a Password. When viewing the page on the website PROTECTED is printed before the header on the page, but all data is displayed and I am not required to enter the password.

Hello Annette,

I'm sorry you're having trouble password protecting your page. I'm not sure which page you are trying to password protect that it isn't working on, but I did find a protected area on your site (Members > Members Only) where I see this message: "This post is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:"

If you are logged into your WordPress dashboard and you're checking your site in the same browser, the site sees you as logged in as the administrator and usually wouldn't prompt you for the password for that page. So that you do not have to keep logging in and out of your dashboard to test your site, I would recommend using one browser for logging into the dashboard and a different browser for viewing and testing the site.

If it's a different page on the site you're having trouble with, please feel free to either update your question or add a comment below with the details. If you do not wish to post the URL in this public forum, please feel free to send it in an email to docs@webhostinghub.com and then just let us know here that you've sent the email.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
