Edit code to place ads in bb press powered site?

I need to paste a line of code into my site. I am very new at this. Looking at the file manager, I see how to edit code for the various .php's. The problem is I am not sure which .php I need to edit. Help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hello,

Thanks for the question. When you are editing pages that appear to your website viewers in WordPress, you will typically be modifying the THEME files that are you using for your WordPress site. If yuo are using BBpress, it used to create a child theme that was used to display pages on the site. However, if you want a good reference for BBpress, check out Modifying BBpress templates from their codex. It will help you determine what you need to modify. If you continue to have problems with it, then you may want to consider contacting BBpress in order to know how best to modify page .
