Using wordpress and a custom theme, I need help removing the right recent posts 'sidebar" that appears on the post. I have no need for them and it takes up space.

I have found a plugin that eliminated everything else (category, archives, comments, etc), but not the recent post. This theme requires that I use about 4 posts instead of a pages in a special location.

Is there a simple setting I'm missing or perhaps, some kind of c-panel item to delete this item?

Thanks in advance,

Cliff

Hi Cliff,

Thanks for your question regarding WordPress sidebars. I did some research into this, specifically for your premium theme. Per the support forums at InkThemes, there are two ways you could do this. You can choose which one works best for you.

1. Use the full width page template which does not have a sidebar. This will completely remove the sidebar altogether from the single post view.
2. The second option is if you want to keep the sidebar, but show something other than recent posts. To do this, go to the Widgets area of your WordPress dashboard (Appearance > Widgets) and drag some other widget(s) into the sidebar. If you have more than one widget area available, make sure you drag new widgets into the "Primary Widget Area." This will remove any default widgets and replace them with the widgets you add.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
