Hello,
im using Gridiculous Theme in wordpress. I have placed some ad code from google in a text widget on my right sidebar, the dimensions of ad being a 300x600 large skyscraper . The problem is that it doesn't look quite right when i place ads because the ad isn't placed properly within the parameters set by the theme. Its hard to explain so place take a look at this screenshot to get what i mean - http://grab.by/ANkq

As you can see in the screenshot the ad on the right side doesn't fit in the margins set by the theme. Is there someone within your help team that can help guide me through tweaking the CSS so that the margin doesn't appear. I think it is important for my site to look correct.

Thank you
William

Hello William,

Thanks for the question. The iFrame area of the ad that you're trying to put in there is being affected by the padding. You can remove the padding or play with it until it's set straight. Additionally, the frame of the box should be set to the size of the area in the theme. Check out this screenshot: http://grab.by/AOi6

I was playing with the sizes directly in Chrome using their element inspector. The change needs to occur in the inline code associated with the iFrame.

I hope this points you in the direction you need to make the adjustments. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Arnel C.

Hi thanks for your reply, i have had a little go with the "element inspector" but is it possible to save the changes to my site permanently with this? How would i do this?

Hello TheTrew,

Thank you for your question. The Inspector is just for troubleshooting where the issues are being generated from.

In your case the size of the widget is being set by the Theme, which is common.

This means you have to modify the actual css code and template.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.

Thank you,
John-Paul
