Hello Melissas,

NOTE: I had completed the reply below AFTER your last update to the question. Let us know we can help in any other way!

First, you just created the hosting account and registered the domain name. When you register a domain name or move it between registrars there is a required period of time that you must wait while the internet servers update with your information, so that if someone types in your domain name, then the internet servers know where to send the request to in order to get to your website. This waiting period is known as propagation. Click on the following article for more information on propagation:

What is Propagation?

This impacts your Wordpress in two ways. One, you can't reference your Wordpress installation by the domain name until the propagation completes. Two, if you wish to develop your site without waiting, then you would need to set your Wordpress site to use a temporary URL (this URL is available through your Account Management Panel (AMP) Technical details section). Here's an article on setting up Wordpress with the temporary URl:

Install on Temp URL

The drawback is that you would have to go BACK into the settings and change them back to the site URL instead of the TEMP URL in order to actually use the domain name. Here's the article:

Install on Temporary URL

I would counsel patience and simply wait the 24-hours for the propagation to complete before developing the website. If you're on a strict timeline, then remember that when you have finished developing the website, then go back rever the website to use the original URL instead of the temporary URL.

If you have any further questions, please contact technical support or leave a comment at the bottom of the page.

Regards,

Arnel C.
