Where would I locate the offending code? i.e. Which file folder should I open and look in for this?

Hello Davers5, The issue seems to be caused by a code injection. It is a minor type of hack where someone obtained access to your account via the password and injected code into specific pages. This code is encrypted but readable by the server, causing visitors to be redirected to another site. The way to fix it is to go through the files and simply remove the offending code. It is usually identifiable from the rest of the code in the file due to the encryption. Simply remove that code from the files and it will no longer redirect. Also, be sure to change all passwords and make sure you are up to date on the Wordpress version to avoid any security holes. I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you. Best regards, Scott M. |
