I log into my wordpress and am getting 404 errors or error 500 when trying to update plug-ins. There may be faulty plug-ins previously that caused this error but now I have no access to the plug-ins even with all of them turned off.

Hello,

Sorry for the problems with updating your plugins. I did a bit of reading and researching on this error. The closes match I'm finding is from a WordPress Support Forum post of a year ago. They were getting the exact same error when trying to update. They found that an .htaccess file was forcing the PHP version to be handled at a version that led to the error. You are able to change your PHP version through cPanel. Make sure to check your .htaccess files to insure that they're not causing the issue are facing.

I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance.

Regards,
Arnel C.
