I have created my website with the builder and it is operational. I have reached the limits of what builder can do and am planning on switching to WordPress. How can I keep the builder version of my site active and be able to maintain it while I am rebuilding the site and testing it under wordpress. Once I am done then I want to switch.

This should be posted under jimczeb@gmail.com but shows up as someone else???

Hello Belschy, and thanks for the question.

If you'd like to continue to leave your Builder site live and operational while you test out WordPress, we would recommend installing WordPress to a separate directory. You can read about installing software such as WordPress from our Softaculous installer available in cPanel here:

How to install software with Softaculous

After you're all done with everything you can then remove the Builder files in the main [/public_html] directory, and move the WordPress ones there. This will also require modifying some of the configuration settings in WordPress to point it to the new location.

Alternatively at your request we can also update your domain's document root to another directory. So for instance if you installed WordPress in a directory called [/blog] and you wanted the files in that directory to be pulled up by default for your domain, this can be done by changing the site's document root.

In regards to your e-mail address it does appear that address is what's in use for your community support account. Are you saying that you didn't choose the username Belschy?

Please let us know if you have any further questions at all.
