Might be a dumb question, but I'm having serious difficulties.

On my site (shinybuttons.net), I was tired of the limited options, no plug ins, etc. so I decided to move my site to webhostinghub and go with wordpress org.

I installed wordpress to my site via the cpanel/fantastico, and I noticed no change. On the tutorials for transferring a site over, you are supposed to export the files, then import them to the new site. My problem is, Im still on the same site. I can't get it to change, and I still have all the exact same options as I did before. I have no idea what to do. How do I make my site a wordpress org site, where I can use plugins and such?
