Upload troubles - broken image files

I just installed WordPress with the Gather theme by ThemeTrust. I haven't modified much yet but when I try to upload an image (specifically in the logo area) the uploader shows the file has been transfered and then shows a broken image icon. The page then also displays a broken image icon and not the image. Format changes for the image haven't helped (jpg and gif).

Hello Paleodenim,

Your .htaccess settings are set to rewrite the URL to point to the Tumblr site. So at the moment any entry being used to display graphics using your URL will not properly display. you can check this by clicking on the broken graphic and looking at the path it's showing. If it's showing your Tumblr path, then that's the reason it's not working.
