I just installed WordPress 3.5.1 for the purpose of using it for the creation of the website saint-albans.org. After the installation completed, I received an e-mail with the details of the installation. This e-mail included links to the web site URL (http://saint-albans.org) and the Admin URL(http://saint-albans.org/wp-admin/). However, when I click on either link, I get a message saying, "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page." (I'm using Internet Explorer 10). What do I need to do to correct this problem? Thanks!

Hello Squarepeg61,

The reason it's not working is because your domain name is not pointed to our hosting service as yet. Since you registered the name with a separate domain registrar (Network Solutions) you will need to go to their control page and change the name servers there. For more information on how to change your name servers and a definition of name servers please go to What are my name servers and how I change them?

Be aware that this kind of change is not instantaneous - the time that it takes for the domain name server setting to change is called propagation time. Once the change is complete, then you will be able to use the domain name to reference the WordPress site.

If you're in a hurry and want to access it BEFORE your domain name name servers have been pointed to our hosting service, you can always use your temp URL. Check out this article for the required changes before you can use the temp URL: Installing Wordpress with the temp URL.
