Website name & visibility

My website serves a group of about 100 people and the members have been concerned about the easy access to our information.
If I were to change the name of the site to something more obscure, would it be more difficult to find the site?
Would I change the word press URL or the Site address for the site?

Basically, we are trying to make the site less accessible to the public.

I have put personal info lists on password protected download files already. I am considering building a members only page and assigning roles to the users.

Hello None,

If you are using Word Press, then you already have a built in system for members only. You can force access to certain pages to be accessible through members alone. Remember that ANY domain name on the internet is public, so changing won't really help in the long run. There are many plugins that you can use as well that may meet your needs. Look for these plugins at Wordrpess.org, or simply use the built-in roles and logins that Wordpress can be set to use.
