Hi windcatcher, Are you using WordPress for all aspects of your site? WordPress is used by many to manage not only a blog, but to build entire websites. WordPress has the ability to publish both posts (blogging) and pages (normal web page). If you were not already familiar with this, please see: How to write a Post How to create a Page Blogs normally show a listing of all posts on the homepage. If you need to have a static page show, like a homepage, you can change what content WordPress loads on the homepage: How to Configure your Home Page Are you trying to use one installation of WordPress for more than one website? If so, you'll need to install another instance of WordPress. Can I build a website and have it not affect my blog at all until I'm ready to publish the new website? Within WordPress, when editing content, click "Edit" next to "Published" in the right menu and change the value to Draft. This will allow you to write content but not publish it quite just yet. If I haven't answered your question, please update your question with more specific details and I will be more than happy to assist further! Thanks, - Brad |
