I am trying to access my blog through the Wordpress mobile app (for Android). It requires the full path to the xmlrpc.php file.

The blog in question is a subdomain I added to my primary domain (totesmax.com) after the fact. I assume that my root directory is totesmax.com/home/totesm5.

So the link should be...

totesmax.com/home/totesm5/public_html/*nameofblog.com*/

This is where all of the files for my blog are located, along with the xmlrpc.php file, which I can see.

However I am repeatedly confronted with an error message on the app, and told to enter the full path to the xmlrpc.php file. Would that not be the path I have note above? Is there any chance someone knows where I am going wrong?

Hello Maxbarry,

The home path for your account does not need to start with the domain name as the primary domain is equivalent to your public_html path.
totesmax.com = /home/totesm5/public_html

In regards to the path needed for your addon blog, if it is its own domain, then the path would be simply nameofblog.com/xmlrpc.php (using your example from above.) This is because a full domain name has its own root to begin from. In looking at your account, this seems to be the case.

Below are a couple of links from Wordpress proper to assist you with any further issues you are having with that file:

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you.
