Sometimes on your website, you will want to direct your visitor to a different website.  In the Web Builder you can create an external link either in the Menu, or in the body of the web page itself.

How do I link to an External Page from the body of my web page?

If you want to have a line of text in the body of your website link to a different web page, first type in the words that you want to become a link:

Then, highlight the words and select the hyperlink icon on the toolbar (depending on your browser it can be in a different place, so look for the small picture of the Earth and a link underneath it):

Once that is clicked on, a box will pop up.  In the box, under URL put in the website that you want the link to direct to.  In this case, I have directed the link to webhostinghub.com:

Click on save, and now the text is a link!

It is that easy to make a link on your website.

How do I link to an External Page from the Menu?

First, go to the Pages section of the Premium Web Builder:

  1. On this page, as highlighted check the "External Page" option.
  2. Once it is checked, click on the top > button towards the right side of the page which will move the checked page onto your Site Structure.
  3. Once this is done, click on the "Next" button and Apply Changes when asked.

This will bring you back to your Edit Pages section, and you will see External Page on the left column under Site Map.  Select it, and you will see this screen:

On this page, all you need to do is put in the URL that you want the link to direct to.  In this example, I have used webhostinghub.com.  Be sure to rename the title of the link from "External Page" to something more appropriate.

Save your changes, and now you can preview your site to make sure that the link is active:
