Alternatives to the Premium Website Builder
The Premium Web Builder is a great tool to quickly and easily build your first website. A website using the Premium Web Builder can be created and published in minutes to immediately give your site a presence on the Internet. While the Premium Web Builder is easy to use, it does have some limitations. As you become more comfortable with the Premium Web Builder, you will learn more about website design and some of the features you want on your website may not be available in the Web Builder. If the Premium Web Bulider does not meet your website's requirements, there are other programs you can use.
What are some alternatives to the Premium Web Builder?
If your website needs have outgrown the Premium Web Builder, do not worry as we have other programs you can use for no additional charge. There are many web design programs available but below we have highlighted different options that we recommend:
- WordPress. WordPress is the most popular blog-based software currently available. You can install it onto your account in only a few quick steps in your account cPanel, in the Fantastico de Luxe section. Please read our WordPress Education Channel for more information on installing and using WordPress.
- Joomla and Drupal. If your website is going to have a variety of information and will need more flexibility, Joomla and Drupal are great Content Management Systems that are also available for no charge in Fantastico. There is a steeper learning curve for Joomla and Drupal but both programs have very large communities to assist you along the way.
- OsCommerce, ZenCart, and Cube Cart. These three programs are E-Commerce solutions that we recommend if you want to sell things on your website but need more options then the eShop in the Web Builder provides. Like the programs mentioned above, they can be installed at no charge through your cPanel in Fantastico de Luxe.
- Dreamweaver, iWeb, FrontPage, and other design programs. Web Hosting Hub does not offer Dreamweaver, iWeb, or Frontpage but websites designed in these programs can be published onto your account with us. Not all design programs are free however and will need to be downloaded from their official websites.

So, being new to this company, am trying to determine what web bulder to use. I have been working in the Premium Web Builder, because I wanted to use my own photo for the template header. However, I will be selling photo products online and have a photo gallery too, so am wondering if the OSCommerce, Zencart or Cube Cart would be a better way to go. Can anyone advise if they feel the eShop is adequate for multiple products on one page. I don't think the eShop features will work for me. For instance, I would like to have numerous door hanger images showing on one page. I would want my customers to be able to go to a drop down menu box and click on the images they want for both sides of their door hanger. Is there an option to list multiple selections in drop down menu boxes - for a customer to select options they want. Is that possible?
