Blank white screen fix for PrestaShop 1.6
If you are loading PrestaShop 1.6 for the first time and you see only a blank white screen when you are trying to see the store. There is no error message and it will immediately appear as though your installation has failed. However, in most cases the problem is related to a memory setting in the PHP.INI file. You can easily edit your PHP.INI settings to allow for more memory and fix the problem. The following tutorial takes you through a few quick steps to edit the PHP.INI file or create a new one so that PrestaShop will load properly.
Editing the PHP.INI file to fix the PrestaShop 1.6 white screen
Note that this solution shows how to resolve the issue using the cPanel File Manager. If you require further information on using the cPanel File manager, please go to our documentation here. If you are not a Web Hosting Hub customer, then you can use an FTP client to download the file. You would then need to use a text editor to edit the file. Please follow the steps below in order to correct the white screen problem in PrestaShop 1.6:
- Login to your cPanel.
- Open the File Manager and select the Document root for the domain where you have loaded PrestaShop 1.6 or select Home Directory and locate the folder where you have installed PrestaShop 1.6.
- Locate the PHP.INI file. If you do not see one, then look in the PUBLIC_HTML folder for it, or simply create a new text file and name it "php.ini". Once you have located the file, click on the file and select EDIT. If you are creating the file, it will need to be saved in the same location as your PrestaShop installation files.
- When you edit the file look for the "Resource Limits" section or the "memory_limit" option. By default, the "memory_limit" is set to 32M. Change it to 256M in the editor as per the screenshot below. If you have created the PHP.INI file, then you will need to type in the following line: memory_limit = 256M;
- Click on Save changes.

We would need more information. What version are you using? Are you trying to create an account or checkout? If checking out, are you doing so logged in as a user or a guest? If a guest, is it trying to create an account or allow you to enter delivery information as you go? What do you see on the screen? Any error messages would be helpful. Kindest Regards, Scott M |

I'm sorry to hear that your buttons are different colors in different browsers. Unfortunately, we are somewhat limited in this forum as far as offering any customized coding. However, if you're using legitimate HTML-acceptable colors you should be able to find a match that works for you. Is there anything in the above article that you had trouble with specifically? |
