PrestaShop WordPress integration can help you leverage the power of both PrestaShop and WordPress for your online store. PrestaShop includes CMS pages, but these pages do not offer the commenting features of a WordPress page or post. There are a also several PrestaShop blog modules available, but you may already have a WordPress blog or prefer to use WordPress instead.

PrestaShop WordPress Module

There are several modules for PrestaShop that integrate WordPress into your PrestaShop store in various ways. Some plugins simply let you show your WordPress blog posts on your PrestShop home page or in one of the columns of your PrestaShop site. Two of the available PrestaShop WordPress plugins integrate WordPress and PrestaShop a bit more: WordPress Sync module and WordPress content by tags.

The WordPress Sync module imports WordPress articles, categories, and meta data into your PrestaShop site. This is a one way PrestaShop WordPress integration (brings content in from WordPress but doesn't show products from PrestaShop in WordPress). It will allow you to link PrestaShop products to WordPress posts (adds a new Blog Articles tab under the product) and show your latest WordPress posts on the PrestaShop home page or columns.

The WordPress content by tags module is actually two modules/plugins, a PrestaShop module and a WordPress plugin for full PrestaShop WordPress integration. This will allow you to show WordPress content on your PrestaShop site and feature products from your PrestaShop store on your WordPress site.

PrestaShop WordPress Plugin

Finding a PrestaShop WordPress plugin (a plugin to install on your WordPress site). is a bit more of a challenge. Currently, a search of the WordPress plugin directory returns just four plugins for integrating PrestaShop with WordPress. While no single plugin offers easy PrestaShop WordPress integration, we have found a combination of plugins that does work. For details, please see our tutorial on using a PrestaShop WordPress plugin along with a PHP code widget to display products from your PrestaShop store on you WordPress site.
