May be a silly question, but is this how it is normally supposed to operate? Or should it show my domain name rather then for ex. mailed-by: whub25.webhostinghub.com?

Hi Richard,

When you send email using the php mail function, the email is sent from the server, and the server's hostname is recorded as the from sender. This is normal behavior.

If you're referring to the from server in the headers, there is not a way to change this. You can compare this to email sent from other providers, and you should see the name of the server listed in the headers.

If you're referring to the sender's email address, it may show as userna5@whub25.webhostinghub.com. To get around this, you can use an alternative to the php mail function, such as phpMailer:
How do I use phpMailer to Send Email through PHP?

I hope this helps! If you can update your question with more detail, I'll be more than happy to address further.

Thanks!

- Brad
