If you're running software that suddenly stops working, one troubleshooting step you can take is repairing your database. Bear in mind that this is just one of many troubleshooting steps you can take, but if you've exhausted all other options, you can give this one a shot.

Repairing Databases within cPanel

  1. Log into cPanel
  2. Click "MySQL Databases"
  3. Under "Modify Databases", select your desired database from the drop down and click "Check DB"
  4. If any errors are shown, return to the previous screen and this time run the "Repair DB" option (instead of "Check DB")

Repairing Databases within phpMyAdmin

You can also repair databases directly within phpMyAdmin. To do this:

  1. Log into cPanel
  2. Click "phpMyAdmin"
  3. Choose the desired database in the left menu
  4. Select all the tables listed by clicking "Check All" (see screenshot)
  5. From the drop down menu choose Repair Table

I have been getting this error since 19 Sept when I try to access my Drupal dashboard. And your instructions did not resolve it. Is this related to the problem your mentioned (the time period matches) or is this an entirely different problem?ErrorThe website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.Error messagePDOException: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user '######'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in lock_may_be_available() (line 167 of /home/####/includes/lock.inc).

Hello Andrew,

The fix most definitely worked for the vast majority. Some databases may have individual issues. You may want to contact our Live Support department so they can assist with your individual account.

Kindest Regards,
Scott M
