OpenCart Administration Dashboard lets you restrict when pricing can be seen by a logged in customer.  The following tutorial guides you in setting the store option for displaying prices for logged in customers.

Displaying Prices in OpenCart 1.5 for Logged in Customers Only

  1. Login to the Administration Dashboard as an Administrator
  2. Hover over the menu bar where it says SYSTEM and then click on SETTINGS in the drop-down menu
  3. Select the STORE that you wish to edit and then click on EDIT on the far right to proceed
  4. Click on the TAB that says OPTION, then scroll down until you see the option labeled LOGIN DISPLAY PRICES as shown below:

    opencart15-options-login-displayprices
  5. Select YES to show prices when a customer is logged in, or select NO if you want to display pricing on products regardless of customer login status.

Enabling this option allows the display of product pricing ONLY if a customer is logged into your OpenCart 1.5 store.  Otherwise, the pricing will always be displayed.

Hello Alabi A.,

Sorry for the problem with the price display. Can you tell us what where you're seeing this? Are you looking at a specific product? And what currency were you using? If you can give us a little more information on how to reproduce the problem, then we can investigate further for you. Please provide the version of PrestaShop that you are using and a URL if possible.

Regards,
Arnel C.

Really helpful article!

My issue is that I need to hide the price only for a category of products. Unlogged users should see the price of every product but for some of the product from within a category. How can I achieve that?

Do You hae any ideas?

ThanksBibusz

Hello Bibusz,

Thanks for the question. As per the article, you can set OpenCart to allow only logged in users to see the prices, but you can't limit it to a single category. This can only be done with custom development. You would need to find an OpenCart developer to change application for this purpose.

Apologies that we cannot provide a direct solution to your question.

Regards,
Arnel C.
