There are a few free FTP clients on the Mac. As an alternative to the popular Filezilla, you can use Cyberduck. The following article will walk you through the steps needed to connect. You can grab a copy of Cyberduck from their official website at http://cyberduck.ch/

1. Start off by loading Cyberduck
2. Now that you have Cyberduck open, click "Open Connection" on the top left
3. Select configure your FTP settings

Choose FTP (File Transfer Protocol) from the top drop-down menu

Server: yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with the domain name you are using)
Port: 21
Username: youruser (replace youruser with your cPanel username)
Password: ******** (the password will be your cPanel password)

We need to now click the "More Options" selector and configure the "Connect Mode" to "Passive (PASV)"
