How to Create the Information Pages in OpenCart 1.5

The Information title and  Description page under the GENERAL tab in Opencart 1.5 provides information that you want to display to your customers.  You may place geographical, historical or personal information here.  You may also place important legal or privacy notices.  Basically, any information that you need to relay to your customers, you should have in this area.

How to Create the Information Page

1. Login to the OpenCart Administrator as an administrator

2. Select CATALOG, then click on INFORMATION.
   

   If there are pages already created in the INFORMATION section, then you will see them listed in a chart.  Otherwise, select INSERT to begin creating your Information page. After clicking on INSERT, you will see 3 tabs - GENERAL, DATA, and DESIGN

   

3. After clicking INSERT, you will see the Information Title and Description areas. Both of these sections require some type of input in order to proceed. The Information Title is what appears in the menu option for the INFORMATION section of the Opencart 1.5 website. The Description is the content that appears on the page.  Opencart 1.5 provides an editor that allows you to create the content.  Among its many functions, the editor lets you work directly with the source code (for HTML),add images, tables or links.

   

4. Once you have finished adding the Information Title and Description, select SAVE.  The page will be added to the list that appears when you first clicked on INFORMATION.  Here's an example:
