How to enable Advanced Stock Management in Prestashop 1.5

The benefit of enabling Advanced Stock Management is its capability of using multiple stores or sources of inventory to be managed in one place for the product.  The following tutorial will show you how to enable the option for Advanced Stock Management in the Prestashop 1.5 administration panel.

Enabling Advanced Stock Management in Prestashop 1.5

1. Login to the Administration Panel as an Administrator
2. Hover over the menu bar where it says PREFERENCES, and then click on PRODUCTS in the drop down menu. Scroll down the list of options and look for Preferences: Product stock.  Select the Enable Advanced Stock Management option in the menu as shown below:
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Select YES to enable Advanced Stock Management, or NO to disable it.  Note that Enabling Advanced Stock Management is required for multiple suppliers, warehouses and other stock management options not available in simple stock management. 
4. Select the green SAVE button in the top right hand corner to save your selection.  

Advanced Stock Management is generall used when you have multiple suppliers or locations containing product inventory.  If you only needed to enable normal stock management (for a single shop), then go to How to Enable Stock Management.
