At times it may be required to have a minimum  purchase before any order or orders may be validated.  The following tutorial will guide you in setting or editing the minimum purchase total order amount required to validate an order.

How to Set or Edit the Minimum Purchase Total Required Order to Validate and Order

  1. Login to the Administration Panel as an Administrator
  2. Hover over the menu bar where it says PREFERENCES, and then click on ORDERS in the drop down menu. Select the Minimum purchase total required in order to validate order option per the screenshot below:

  3. Click in the blank and set the desired amount.  If an amount already exists, click and EDIT the amount to the desired value.  Note that tax is excluded.  If you wish disable this feature, set the value to 0.
  4. Select SAVE in the top right hand corner to complete setting the value.

The minimum purchase total required in order to validate an order is often required in order to make sure that the requested purchase is not costing the vendor more than the sale of the item(s).  If the minimum amount is not met, then the order will not validate and indicate the required minimum purchase.
