Set the product short description length in Prestashop 1.5
The short product description is used in a few places on the shop front. The following tutorial will show you how to set the length of the description in number of characters.
Set the product short description length in Prestashop 1.5
- Login to the Administration Panel as an Administrator
- Hover over the menu bar where it says PREFERENCES, and then click on PRODUCTS in the drop down menu. Scroll down the list of options and look for Preferences: Products. Select Short Description Max Size in the menu as shown below:
- Select the number of characters that you want to use for the maximum length of the Short description
- Select the green SAVE button in the top right hand corner of the screen to save the value you set
The Short Description for a product can be set to a particular length. It should be set so that the shop template shows the description without any problems. The following screenshot shows where you will see the description on the page:
