A Catch-All email address is designed to allow you to get mail to your domain even if the email address does not exist, however for spam protection it is a feature that is disabled on all Web Hosting Hub servers.  At Web Hosting Hub the catch-all email address is set to :fail: to prevent spammers from sending large amounts of email to you.  As you are not able to create your own default address to prevent spam overflow, we recommend to use forwarders and filters on the account level to route your email.

I know what having a default email address entails, I had one at my old crappy host.

Please give me the option of deciding this for myself. I'll even click on a 'yes, I know what I'm doing' button for you.

Oh, and forwarders only work if I set up email accounts for every possible address. That's useless to me, so why suggest it?

Hello aaronx,

I'm sorry but a default email address is not available on Web Hosting Hub accounts. When setting up forwarders, you do not have to create email accounts for the email addresses you wish to forward from. For instance, if I wanted to forward info@mydomain.com to admin@mydomain.com, only the admin@mydomain.com email account has to be created as an email account.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

But how then do I create a Default Address for a single domain? On the Domain Forwarding page it says to do that as a way to forward one domain into a single mailbox.

You can create an email to receive ALL emails from the domain using the domain forwarding in cPanel. There is no way to create a catch-all email.
