Adding a Featured Article in Joomla
By Default the home page for your Joomla website contains no text on the home page or front page of your site will display the featured articles. This tutorial will teach you how to make a featured article out of one of your articles to show on your home page in Joomla1.
Adding a featured article in Joomla 3.1
- Log into your Joomla Dashboard.
Go to Content > Article Manager.
Select the article you want as your featured article on the frontpage.
On the right side there is a drop box for Featured articles. Select Yes from the "Featured" article drop box.
Save the changes.
Now when you visit your Home page or front page you will see your featured article like the snapshot to the right.
